The Friends of Maria Callas

The Société des Amis de Maria Callas gathers those who make the Foundation's mission possible — preserving the world's most significant private Callas collection and opening the Maria Callas Museum in Paris for the fiftieth anniversary of her passing, on 16 September 2027.

Joining before the Museum opens means belonging to the founding circle: the women and men who will have made it exist.

Membership circles — individuals

• Friend of Maria — €100 a year. The entry membership, entirely digital: the archive of the month first, priority news from the collection, and event presales.
• Member — €500 a year. Invitations to the Foundation's evenings and events, and priority news from the collection.
• Fellow — €1,500 a year. All of the above, with privileged access to the Foundation's private events, including the annual dinner of 2 December, Maria Callas's birthday.
• Ambassador — €5,000 a year. All of the above, and a private visit of Maria Callas's Paris apartment on avenue Georges-Mandel, in the company of Tom Volf, president of the Foundation.
• Grand Patron — €10,000 a year. All of the above, a seat on the Honorary Board, and a numbered facsimile from the collection's letters.

Companies and institutions

Corporate memberships at €25,000 and €50,000 associate your name with the preservation of Maria Callas's legacy and with the creation of the Museum — with bespoke privileges: private evenings at exceptional venues, access to the collection for your guests, visibility alongside the Foundation's projects. Tax deduction

The Fonds de Dotation Maria Callas is a French endowment fund pursuing a mission of general interest. Memberships and gifts entitle donors, under the conditions set by law, to the French tax reductions of 66% (individuals, article 200 CGI) or 60% (companies, article 238 bis CGI). A tax receipt is issued for every contribution. American donors: contact us about US giving options.

How to join

Write to the Foundation through the contact form, subject “Donations and patronage”, stating the circle you wish to join — the Foundation will send you the membership form and payment details. You can also simply make a donation of any amount: every gift helps preserve the collection.

The dinner of 2 December 2026

This year, the annual dinner will be held for the first time on avenue Georges-Mandel, in Maria Callas's apartment, on the 103rd anniversary of her birth. Places are very few and reserved first for the Friends: register your interest.
